When I sit down to write these logs, the text is handed directly to the first entity: The Vault Warden. This keeper maintains a massive, ironclad storage grid. Its primary power is perfect, infallible memory.
The Vault Warden takes every sentence, file, and structural layout variation I create, assigns it a unique identity seal, and locks it inside an subterranean vault. It remembers exactly what the chronicle looked like yesterday, a week ago, or a month ago. Nothing inside the vault can be corrupted or lost without the Warden logging the shift. However, the Warden prefers to stay hidden below—it does not speak directly to the travelers seeking the text.
The Second Keeper: The Gate Watcher (Cloudflare)
Standing outside in the daylight, directly flanking the entrance to the custom domain network, is the second entity: The Gate Watcher. This sentinel’s task is global projection and absolute defense.
The Gate Watcher forms an invisible alignment link directly to the Vault Warden below. The exact moment the Warden logs a new update inside the vault, the Gate Watcher catches the frequency, makes countless identical copies of the scroll, and flings them across hundreds of physical outposts across the world simultaneously.
When a traveler walks up to the custom domain gate, they do not have to wait for a messenger to travel into the deep vaults. The Gate Watcher stands at their closest local outpost and instantly hands them the text. Furthermore, if a swarm of hostile malicious forces or botnets tries to crash the gateway, the Gate Watcher raises an obsidian shield, catching and destroying millions of false requests before they can even touch the chronicle's records.
Why This Alliance Matters
Because the Vault Warden and the Gate Watcher are bound together in a permanent pipeline, the scribe's work is protected on all sides. No complex backend servers are left vulnerable to collapse. The records remain frozen, lightweight, and completely bulletproof, ensuring that Mudvane's awakening proceeds undisturbed through the chapters ahead.
